Abstract: Due to the small scale of production, high liquidity, and low production safety standards, food safety supervision is very difficult for food stalls. With the arrival of the hot summer, food safety challenges are even greater. If in strict accordance with the "Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Administrative Licensing Law of the People's Republic of China" and other laws and regulations to strengthen the supervision of the food safety of "street food" and implement the "food business license" system, it is likely that it will not be able to promote the development of “street stall economy” and supervision costs may be too high and be passed on to street vendors, which may cause problems such as reduced profits of street vendors, weakened competitiveness, and even adverse selection that lowers the level of food safety. These problems will affect the achievement of the goal of promoting people’s livelihood. This report puts forward a series of policy recommendations for "effective supervision" of food safety, and promotes the healthy development of "street stall economy ".
