The signing of the phase one Sino-US trade agreement means that Sino-US economic and trade frictions have temporarily eased, indicating that as long as the attitude and spirit of mutual equality and mutual respect are followed, the Sino-US economic and trade divergence can be resolved through dialogue and consultation. Judging from the true strategic intentions and essential reasons of the US initiating economic and trade frictions with China, the long-term, complex and volatile nature of Sino-US economic and trade frictions will not change. Therefore, on the one hand, we should abandon the illusion that a quick resolution of these frictions can be realized in a short time; on the other hand, it is necessary to focus on the future with calm response. The core and key of the short-term countermeasures lies in that, according to the specific measures taken by the United States to launch economic and trade frictions, we should see through tricks, "conflict without breaking up the relationship”, and prevent Sino-US decoupling through constantly contacting, sounding out and negotiating, in this way minimizing the negative impact as far as possible, so as to buy time for China’s further opening-up, and meanwhile create a most favorable external environment for it. The core and key of the long-term countermeasures is to maintain strategic resolve, rethink the strategies for "trade orientated national development" and realize strategic transformation as soon as possible, enhance the ability to participate in and govern economic globalization, and finally form a benign coopertition relationship with the United States.
