Xiong Wenming, Yu Weixin, Chen Chuanming: A Study on the Dual Role Synergy Process of Academic Entrepreneurs Based on Complex Adaptive System Theory

 The synergy of individual scholar's role and entrepreneur's role is a necessary condition for successful academic entrepreneurship. The article corresponds the characteristics of complex adaptive system to the dual role synergy of academic entrepreneurs. With the help of the analysis framework of "stimulus-response", and through the longitudinal case method, this article discusses the process in which individuals continue to resolve role conflicts through the interaction of cognition and action in a special complex academic entrepreneurial environment, then realizing the dual role synergy. The case found that in the process of resolving the time conflict, ability conflict and cultural expression conflict of dual roles, individuals have completed the evolutionary process of passive patchwork, core focus and symbiotic coordination, and their adaptation to the environment has experienced the stages of simple adaptation, direct adaptation and complex adaptation. The micro-level dual role synergy model refined in this article helps to enrich the academic entrepreneurship theory, and provides enlightenment for the growth and adjustment of academic entrepreneurial entities at different stages.
