On August 20th, General Secretary Xi Jinping chaired the forum of promoting the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta in Hefei. It was pointed out at the forum that the delta region should rise to assume the role of the trail-blazer of China's technological and industrial innovations. The industrial innovation integration is the important channel and key point for the higher-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta. It is the responsibility and mission entrusted by the CPC Central Committee for the delta to focus on integration, concentrate on high-quality and be the pioneer of the industrial innovation integrated development in the new era. However, at present, there’re still many difficult problems to be solved, and we need to mainly make efforts in four aspects.The first one is the dominant position of industries. The industrial integration doesn’t mean to make it all the same, but to promote different regions’ own strengths and ensure the security and stability of the delta’s industrial and supply chain based on the division and coordination of the industrial chain.Secondly, innovation should play the leading role. It is a significant direction of industrial development, requiring not only further stimulating the vitality of original innovation, but also accelerating the industrialization of its achievements.The third one is the help of opening up. We should let the regional small circulation promote the national dual circulation and enlarge its role as an important bridge connecting domestic and international markets.Fourthly, institution should support the development. The institutional integration is the basic guarantee and difficulty of the Yangtze River Delta’s integrated development.Pushing for industrial innovation and promoting higher-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, Anhui needs to further enlarge its superiorities such as advantaged geographical conditions, vigorous industrial development, obvious advantages of backwardness and abundant reserve of labor resources. It’s necessary to continue to make efforts in “strengthening, integration and connection”, so as to play a greater role in the national strategy.
