The political economics of socialism with Chinese characteristics reflects the time feature of the new era. Its study object turns to productivity, with liberating and developing productive forces, and achieving common prosperity becoming the principal line. Instead of value, wealth has become the basic category of economic analysis. The theoretical system of political economics of socialism with Chinese characteristics cannot start from the transcendental theory, but should be problem-orientated. Accordingly, political economics should study not only institution, but also economic operation and economic development. The analysis of basic economic system needs to transform institutional advantage into governance advantage. The analysis of economic operation is subject to the goal of optimal allocation of resources. Micro analysis focuses on efficiency, while macro analysis pays attention to economic growth and macroeconomic stability. The analysis of economic development follows the law of productivity itself, the regulation of studies’ development and corresponding development concept. The new development concept promote the innovation of the development theory of political economics.To establish a systematic Chinese style economics, there’re three main points we need to focus on. Firstly, tell Chinese stories, systematizing the economic thoughts that successfully instruct China’s economic development. Secondly, although political economics is a theoretical discipline, it must be applied and innovated from study object, research level, research method and other aspects, reflecting the time characteristics of the new era. Thirdly, political economics with Chinese characteristics should not only gain acceptance nationally, but also be recognized at the international level.
