On the afternoon of August 24th, General Secretary Xi Jinping chaired an expert symposium on economic and social fields. At the meeting, he pointed out that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, our country should give first place to unblock the circulation of national economy and build a new development pattern of domestic and international dual-cycle. Under the great changes in both internal and external environment, it’s a major revision of China’s long-term economic development strategy. From the prospective of the development of major powers, participating in the globalization dependent on western countries is an unsustainable strategy. Therefore, during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, we need to upgrade the economic globalization with export as the main feature to the strategic mode with China’s huge domestic demand as the main feature, which from guest to host. We should link the domestic market with the international market, promoting and driving domestic enterprises to participate in the international market circulation by open domestic market.It is of great significance for China’s globalization to step from guest to host, and it’s also a trend of self-adjustment. From the point of view of international experience, it proves that in the process of becoming a great country, it inevitably shows the formation of domestic demand oriented economy.
