On November 14, 2020, a symposium on comprehensively promoting the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt was held in Nanjing. At the symposium, General Secretary Xi Jinping made it clear that the Yangtze River Economic Belt should become . This is a new positioning for the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, giving it a new mission to play an important historical role in responding to changes in international and domestic situations and smoothing the circulation of the national economy. It also clarifies the sailing areas for China to build a new development pattern, and provides a huge driving force for the provinces and cities of the Yangtze River economic belt, especially Chongqing, Hubei and Jiangsu, to implement the new development concept and promote high-quality development. Promoting the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt into the major artery for a smooth "dual circulation" of domestic and international markets is a systematic project, which cannot be separated from the three key words of collaboration, innovation and openness.
