The communique of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China proposed to "speed up the modernization of agriculture and rural areas" and basically realize "agricultural modernization" by 2035.The Yangtze River Delta region has rich practical experience in rural reforms, strong agricultural science and technology capabilities, strong industrial back-feeding agricultural capabilities, a developed agricultural product market, and rapid industrialization and urbanization. Sufficient social resources have created various conditions for the construction of modern agriculture.Based on the analysis of the current situation of agriculture and rural areas and the characteristics of social resources in the Yangtze River Delta, the future development of modern agriculture in the Yangtze River Delta will mainly present three forms, namely, large-scale family farms, characteristic rural e-commerce and intelligent agricultural factories.The development process of modern agriculture is the process of transforming traditional agriculture with new technologies and business models. The basic path for the development of modern agriculture in the Yangtze River Delta is as follows: 1. Deepen rural reforms. 2. Promote scientific and technological progress. 3. Speed up urban and rural construction.
