On November 27th, the "2020 Yangtze River Delta University Think Tank Summit-Demonstration Zone Construction and Development Seminar" was held in Zhujiajiao, Shanghai. The research report on "Innovation and Development Report of Yangtze River Delta Industry: Basis and Status Quo" was released at the seminar. The report is divided into three parts: three perspectives on the integration of innovation in the Yangtze River Delta, recommendations on the integration of industrial innovation in the Yangtze River Delta, and policy recommendations.According to the report, promoting the integrated development of science and technology and industrial innovation in the Yangtze River Delta includes not only the innovation coordination of science and technology and industry in each region of “three provinces and one city” (the provinces of Jiangsu, Anhui and Zhejiang as well as Shanghai), the organic coordination of "government, industry, universities, research institutes, intermediaries, and media" in the innovation community, but also the chain of innovation that connects technological innovation with industrial innovation and produces coupling effect. From the perspective of the integration process of the Yangtze River Delta, the strengthening of the links between regions, the cooperation between entities, and the connection between steps is becoming the main direction of collaborative innovation.
