In order to implement the outline of the integrated regional development of Yangtze River Delta and the outline of the national innovation-driven development plan, and promote the construction of the Yangtze River Delta science and technology innovation community, the ministry of science and technology, together with the people's governments of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui provinces, has jointly compiled the construction and development plan of Yangtze River Delta community of sci-tech innovation.Previously, the Xu Ning team from the Yangtze River Industrial Economics Research Institute of Nanjing University completed the research report on " Yangtze River Delta industrial innovation and development report: Basics and Status Quo". According to the report, promoting the integrated development of science and technology and industrial innovation in the Yangtze River Delta includes not only the innovation coordination of science and technology and industry in each region of “three provinces and one city” (the provinces of Jiangsu, Anhui and Zhejiang as well as Shanghai), the organic coordination of "government, industry, universities, research institutes, intermediaries, and media" in the innovation community, but also the chain innovation that connects technological innovation with industrial innovation and produces coupling effect. From the perspective of the integration process of the Yangtze River Delta, the strengthening of the links between regions, the cooperation between entities, and the connection between links is becoming the main direction of collaborative innovation. In this regard, the reporter had a dialogue with Xu Ning, deputy dean of the Yangtze River Industrial Economic Research Institute of Nanjing University, and conducted in-depth interviews from three aspects: research perspective, development status, and countermeasures.
