Abstract: The outbreak of COVID-19 has reversed the forces of economic globalization and impacted all levels of global economic governance. The root of the failure of global economic governance is that the global economic governance system established after World War II has not been adjusted with the phased changes of economic globalization. The interaction between the developed economies represented by the United States and the developing economies represented by China in the existing rule system has experienced the stage of cooperative game and competitive game, and now it has entered the stage of coexistence game. China should become an important participant in promoting the global economic governance system in the direction of "new cooperative game". We can make efforts in the following aspects: First, enhance the comprehensive national strength through "dual circulation" and consolidate the material basis for participating in global economic governance; Second, promote the reconstruction of the multilateral rule system of global economic governance by promoting regional economic cooperation and development; The third is to create an economic environment of peace and development and shape an institutional voice in line with the future development direction.
