He also emphasized that we need to strengthen the demand side management, expand the consumption of residents, and enhance the level of consumption.To build a new development pattern and smooth the economic circulation, it is not only necessary to dredge the blockages from the supply side, but also to dredge the blockages from the demand side. On the whole, the blockages from the demand side in China's economic operation mainly come from the following factors: First, the blockage caused by the defects of the aggregate demand management method. Second, the blockage caused by the defects of aggregate demand formation mechanism. Third, the blockage caused by the macro-structural imbalance on the demand side. Fourth, the blockage caused by the micro-structural distortion on the demand side. Fifth, the artificial blockage caused by the restrictions on demand side.The most essential feature of building a new development pattern is to achieve a high level of self-reliance and self-improvement, and more emphasis must be placed on independent innovation. Market demand is the main driving force of technological innovation. Therefore, we must strengthen the demand side management, break through all kinds of blockages from the demand side, establish an effective system to expand domestic demand, release the potential of domestic demand and cultivate a complete domestic demand system, and constantly build a strong domestic economic circulation system and a stable fundamental.
