Abstract: Based on the theory of Sensemaking and Sensegiving, using multi-case research methods, this article explores how academic entrepreneurs start their own business and how to start a business in conflict situations. The research found that academic entrepreneurship has experienced four stages: the initiation of entrepreneurial ideas, the initial preparation of entrepreneurship, the integration of entrepreneurial resources and the development of entrepreneurial practice. In the initiation stage of entrepreneurial ideas, academic entrepreneurs recognize "who I am" through sensemaking; In the initial preparation stage of entrepreneurship, the interpretation model of academic entrepreneurship is formed through sensemaking; In the stage of entrepreneurial resource integration, it affects the cognitive model of stakeholders through sensegiving; In the development stage of entrepreneurial practice, value creation and enterprise institutionalization are completed through sensegiving, and their own actions are interacted with society to achieve the sublimation of the purpose of academic entrepreneurship.
