Abstract: The new development pattern is the latest achievement of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and political economy of socialism with chinese characteristics. The concept of new development pattern has been formed, but in practice, the construction of new development pattern needs a transformation process. In order to make the national economy turn to rely mainly on domestic circulation, the demand side and the supply side need to exert efforts at the same time. Based on Marx's theory of social reproduction and division of labor, this paper proposes three major paths to the new development pattern. The first is the promotion of the demand side, cultivating a complete domestic demand system, highlighting the basic role of the consumption link, and pointing out that the distribution and circulation links have a supporting and market realization role for consumer demand, thus forming a domestic demand system. The second is the promotion of the supply side. The industrial chain and the innovation chain must be deeply integrated, establish an independent and controllable modern industrial system, deploy the innovation chain around the industrial chain, and promote the integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation. The third is to turn to the outer circle, implement an innovation-oriented open development strategy, and reorganize the international layout of the industrial chain.
