Abstract: Marine economy is an important part of coastal economy. Its qualitative improvement undoubtedly has an important impact on the quality of economic growth in coastal areas, but will the qualitative development sacrifice the quantity of coastal economic growth? The quantitative analysis results show that the improvement of different types of marine economic quality has different effects on the degree and direction of coastal economic growth. The improvement of the scale of marine scientific and technological talents and the utilization of marine new energy will promote the growth of coastal economic volume, while the diversification of marine industrial structure and the conversion rate of marine scientific and technological achievements are just the opposite. Therefore, from the perspective of improving the optimization of marine industrial structure, giving full play to the supporting role of marine science and technology and strengthening marine ecological protection, this paper puts forward some suggestions to promote the high-quality development of marine economy, so as to provide an effective way for coastal economic growth.
