The experience of reform and opening up has proved that promoting "common prosperity" is the unity of wealth creation and distribution, that is, cake making and cake sharing are unified in the grand cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the construction of a modern power.Firstly, this paper defines the concept of common prosperity, and then puts forward that making a big cake is the mission of the healthy development of private economy, and dividing the cake is an important prerequisite for the sustainable development of private economy. According to the blueprint of "common prosperity" put forward by the party and the government, the private economy should take root in the people, rely on employees' innovation and entrepreneurship, and better combine the development of enterprises with the goal of "common prosperity of all people". Therefore, the private economy should strive to become the first responsible person to promote the expansion of middle-income groups, greatly improve the proportion of labor remuneration in the primary distribution, improve the larger tax source in the redistribution adjustment mechanism, be more active in the third distribution of social wealth, and the government should vigorously promote the construction of the social welfare system.
