Under the background of accelerating the realization of carbon peak and neutrality goals, the power battery industry has great market potential and is an important industrial opportunity for Jiangsu.
In the past two years, Jiangsu has intensively issued a series of documents and reports to promote the high-quality development of new energy vehicle industry. Relevant departments attach great importance to the development of new energy vehicle industry and have been exploring the development path of power battery driven by market and technology. By 2022, Jiangsu will initially build a domestic first-class and world advanced power battery manufacturing base, and the industrial output value of the whole power battery industry chain will exceed 100 billion yuan. Therefore, Jiangsu must plan in advance, do a good job in the layout of major projects, and fully lead the development of power battery industry.
Firstly, this paper reviews the achievements of the development of Jiangsu power battery industry. Then it points out the main problems faced at present: capacity structure needs to be improved, industrial synergy is low, material costs are rising, and R&D capacity is relatively weak. Finally, in view of the above problems, some suggestions to promote the development of Jiangsu power battery industry are put forward.
