As one of the regions with the most active economic development, the highest degree of openness and the strongest innovation ability in China, how to take the lead in basically realizing modernization in the Yangtze River Delta is a problem we need to think deeply in the new development stage. It should be pointed out that at present, there are some first developed areas and some later developed areas in the Yangtze River Delta. Taking the lead in basically modernizing the Yangtze River Delta does not mean that some parts of the Yangtze River Delta take the lead in basically realizing modernization, but that the whole region of the Yangtze River delta takes the lead in basically realizing modernization. It means that the first developing region and the later developing region of the Yangtze River Delta basically realize modernization together. It is a new subject to promote modernization in the Yangtze River Delta, which needs to adjust the development strategy according to the concept of systematic thinking and coordinated development. From the perspective of balanced regional development, this paper provides a path and corresponding policy innovation for the Yangtze River Delta to promote global modernization.
