At the Nanjing Symposium in November 2020, General Secretary Xi Jinping planned a new chapter for the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt in the new era, and proposed new and higher requirements for it as the "main battlefield, main initiative, and main force". At the key node of starting a new journey of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way, we are facing various risks and challenges such as COVID-19, trade friction, technology blockade and industrial exclusion. Therefore, it is very important to lead the high-quality and coordinated development of industries in the Yangtze River Economic Belt with a new development pattern. However, the coordinated development of industries in a wide-area space is a complex system, and it has always been a difficult point in regional economic integration. Therefore, the provinces and cities along the Yangtze River should find their respective positions in the new dual-circulation development pattern in order to build a new development pattern and unblock regional industrial circulation.
Focusing on the “aorta” and “capillaries”, actively promote the high-quality and coordinated development of the industry. Jiangsu should take an active role and play a demonstrative role, including the following 4 points: continue to promote the conversion of new and old kinetic energy and industrial transfer; focus on solving the problem of regional innovation incoordination and imbalance; work together to build a world-class advanced manufacturing cluster; and effectively improve the system and mechanism of coordinated development of the park.
