The solid promotion of common prosperity requires a correct understanding of the practical approach to achieve common prosperity. General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized that "Common prosperity is an essential requirement of socialism and a key feature of Chinese-style modernization". This paper holds that to achieve modernization, it is necessary to stride cross the "middle-income trap", avoid polarization is the necessary path to cross the "middle-income trap". In the process of modernization, we can solve the problem of common prosperity from three aspects: First, increase the income of low-income groups and solve the problem of income gap; Second, steadily expand middle-income groups and promote the formation of an olive distribution pattern; Third, work hard on "rich brain" to promote common prosperity by improving people's knowledge and skills. In addition, this paper also emphasizes the path of promoting common prosperity from the perspective of urban-rural dual structure and distribution policy where remuneration is distributed according to various factors of production.
