Abstract: To further promote the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, it is necessary to solve three major contradictions between the ecological environment and the industrial structure, the regional coordinative development and the market segmentation, and the internal circulation development and the external circulation development. The key path and main way to solve these contradictions and achieve the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt is to strengthen the regional coordination and integration. The analysis of regional coordination and integration in the Yangtze River Economic Belt shows on the one hand, the market segmentation and local government protection, and on the other hand, the uneven development in various regions, which hinders the ability of obtaining economies of scale and scope for provinces and cities, and becomes the main reason for restricting the coordination and integration of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. To promote the regional collaborative integration and achieve the regional synergy and integration, we should vigorously promote the integration and cooperation between local governments, and form a unified large market with free flow of commodity factors and fair competition. Under the principle of a game of chess for strategy, a map for planning, a ruler for environmental protection, and a network for transportation, we should promote the Yangtze River Economic Belt to jointly build the Yangtze River Science and Technology Innovation Corridor, promote the coordinated and integrated development of world-class advanced manufacturing clusters in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and cooperate in building a new pattern of international and domestic dual circulation dominated by the domestic demand.
