The 14th Party Congress of Jiangsu Province proposed to deepen reform and opening up with greater courage, and made specific arrangements on how to promote a higher level of opening up and promote the high-quality economic development of Jiangsu Province. Jiangsu should conscientiously study and implement the spirit of the fourteenth provincial Party Congress, accurately grasp the general trend of world development, seize the opportunity of opening up and development, open the door of opening-up wider, promote in-depth reform by expanding opening up, promote high-quality development, and continue to be in the forefront of the country in the new journey of socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
This paper first emphasizes the need to scientifically understand the general trend of economic globalization. Then, it analyzes the economic data of Jiangsu in the fields of foreign trade, foreign capital utilization, development zone construction, foreign investment cooperation, and concludes that Jiangsu has the basis for a higher level of opening up. Finally, the article provides four suggestions for Jiangsu to promote a higher level of opening up.
