The recently released Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Accelerating the Construction of a Unified National Market clearly stated that it is necessary to accelerate the establishment of unified market rules and regulations across the country, high-standard and connected market facilities, a unified commodity and service market, a fair supervision system, and intervention in improper market behavior, so that we can provide strong support for the construction of a high-level socialist market economic system.
This paper first analyzes the importance of the construction of the unified national market for China to grasp the development initiative, smooth the economic circulation, achieve a high level of self-reliance in industry, and implement a high level of opening-up, and puts forward that the unified national market provides basic support for the construction of a new development pattern. Then the article analyzes how to speed up the construction of the unified national market from the five perspectives of market scale, structure, function, mechanism and environment.
