The meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held on April 29 pointed out that we should spare no effort to expand domestic demand, and also stressed that we should give play to the key role of effective investment and give play to the leading role of consumption in the economic circulation. It can be seen that the implementation of the strategy of expanding domestic demand has important strategic value and significance of the times for consolidating China's super large market scale advantage, building a new development pattern, meeting the people's needs for a better life and promoting long-term economic growth. It is not only an urgent task, but also a long-term strategy.
This paper discusses how to expand domestic demand, and proposes that we can make efforts in four areas: active measures to stimulate consumption vitality, continuous expansion of reasonable and effective investment, efforts to improve residents' consumption capacity, and vigorous improvement of the consumption environment.
