This paper analyzes the development of financial industry in Jianye District of Nanjing. Firstly, from the perspective of geographical location, this paper defines the strategic positioning of Jianye District. Then, it analyzes the current development status of Jianye District's financial industry, highlighting its position as the largest gathering place of financial institutions in Nanjing. The article reviews and affirms Jianye District's measures in recent years in the process of building a financial center in terms of goals, patterns and policies. Finally, this paper proposes that in order to achieve high-quality development of the financial industry in Jianye District in the future, it should be committed to achieving two upgrades in terms of development ideas and goal connotation. That is to say, in terms of development ideas, we should upgrade from the initial stage of carrier construction and financial headquarters agglomeration to a higher-level stage of ecological construction and financial functions playing, and carry out all-round transformation in carrier planning, investment promotion measures, policy support, key projects, etc.; In terms of goal connotation, the radiation breadth should be upgraded from the core of Nanjing to the core of the Nanjing metropolitan area and Jiangsu province, and the development form should be upgraded from the clustering area of the headquarters space of financial institutions to the clustering area of financial element functions.
