On December 17, 2021, the 23rd meeting of the Central Committee for Deepening Overall Reform reviewed and approved the Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of a National Unified Market. The opinions pointed out that in combination with the implementation of regional major strategies and regional coordinated development strategies, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is encouraged to give priority to the construction of regional market integration under the premise of maintaining the national unified market.
Firstly, this paper reviews the three adjustments of China's regional economic development strategy in different periods, points out that there is a large gap in the degree of market integration in different urban agglomerations, and then puts forward that the construction of a unified national market will help to solve the market segmentation and promote the coordinated development of regions. Then, this paper points out that the core content of the construction of the unified national market is that the resource elements can be fully independent and orderly flowing, and the unreasonable barriers to the spatial flow of resource elements can be eliminated. It also analyzes the significance of this core content for the coordinated development of regions. Finally, the article analyzes how to promote the construction of the unified national market under the regional coordinated development from a spatial perspective.
