Release time:2025-05-26Author: Liu Zhibiao and Wang Maoxiang

At present, the global trade environment has undergone profound changes, and trade rules are facing restructuring. Tariff issues have become the first major challenge faced by foreign trade enterprises, which brings great uncertainty to China's current and future trade activities, and also puts forward new requirements for the coordinated development of domestic and foreign trade. The integration of domestic and foreign trade is an urgent need to cope with the complex and ever-changing environment in the international economic and trade field, and it is also a pragmatic choice to hedge against external influences.

In the future, with the deepening of the RCEP, the Belt and Road, as well as other cooperation, the integration of domestic and foreign trade will become an important engine for China to build an open economy. To promote the integration of domestic and foreign trade, it is necessary to improve the high-level opening-up system and mechanism, optimize the integrated management system of domestic and foreign trade, promote regional connectivity, and eliminate barriers between domestic and foreign trade. We need to start from multiple aspects such as system, capabilities, integration, and environment, so as to promote the two-way circulation and coordinated development of products, services, and resources in enterprises, ultimately forming a unified and efficient domestic and international dual-circulation system.

Faced with the rapid changes in the international economic and trade environment, China needs to accelerate the cultivation of a group of high-quality trading enterprises with strong innovation capabilities and competitive strength that promote mutual cooperation between domestic and international markets. By ensuring the effective connection of rules, regulations, management, and standards, China aims to enhance the comprehensive strength and international competitiveness of integrated domestic and foreign trade enterprises, and leads the construction of a strong trading nation.
