The central urban work conference was held in Beijing from July 14th to 15th. This is the third central urban work conference since the reform and opening up, and it's also the highest level decision-making and deployment conference for urban development in China. At the critical moment of China's urban development, the meeting thoroughly implements the road pointed out by General Secretary Xi Jinping and the Party Central Committee for China's urban development. The meeting calls for conscientious implementation of the people's city concept, adherence to the general tone of steady progress, adherence to local conditions, and classified guidance. We should take the aim of building an innovative, livable, beautiful, resilient, civilized and intelligent modern people's city. With the theme of promoting high-quality urban development, the main line of adhering to urban connotative development, and the important starting point of promoting urban renewal, we should vigorously promote the optimization of urban structure, the transformation of kinetic energy, the improvement of quality, the green transformation, the continuation of context, and the improvement of governance and efficiency, firmly adhering to the bottom line of urban safety and walking out of a new approach to urban modernization with Chinese characteristics. The central urban work conference has seized on the issues that the masses are most concerned about and look forward to, seized on the most critical and thorny issues in urban development, put forward the most effective and efficient methods for urban development, and provided important epistemology and methodology for us to walk out of a new road of urban modernization with Chinese characteristics.
