Abstract: New urbanization is an important strategy for coordinated regional development and integrated urban-rural development in China, which is of great historical significance for Chinese-style modernization and the construction of a unified national market. Based on the construction of socialist market economy and the situation of different historical periods, all parts of China have made beneficial explorations in promoting connotation construction and pilot demonstration, gradient promotion and group synergy, characteristic development and innovation empowerment, supporting construction and service optimization, urban governance and low-carbon, as well as system innovation and decentralization reform in urban regions. It not only provides experience for China's new urbanization to promote coordinated regional development in the macro sense, but also provides inspiration and lessons for the iterative upgrading of population concentration, industrial agglomeration, factor intensification and functional integration with county towns as an important carrier. Based on the logical main line of macro form, micro subject, strategic overall planning, and factor guarantee, this paper puts forward four dimensional countermeasures and suggestions for the development of new urbanization, and further explores the high-quality development path of new urbanization.
