
Yu Xiaohua, graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2009 with doctor's degrees in agriculture, environment and regional economy as well as demography, joined the faculty of the University of Gottingen in the same year; his research mainly concerns agricultural economics, development economics, behavioral economics and environmental economics. He was once the deputy editor-in-chief, visiting editor or editorial board member of international journals including Agricultural Economics, Agricultural and Resource Economic Review, Journal of Integrative Agriculture, Italian Review of Agricultural Economics and China Economic Review, and policy advisor of the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) and Deutsch-Chinesisches Agrarzentrum. He is the visiting or chair professor of Kyoto University, Renmin University of China, Zhejiang University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, etc. as well as the columnist of Southern Metropolis Daily and Caixin.
